Join us in supporting Go Girls Go! This 5k will start at Henninger Field at 9am and all money raised will help to continue the Go Girls Go! program in Franklin County. Open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities!
Go Girls Go! is a program started two years ago by Healthy Communities Partnership. Now in its fourth season, Go Girls Go! serves girls in 4th-6th grades at local schools and girls meet twice per week afterschool for lessons on a variety of issues including self-esteem, peer relationships, decision-making, nutrition, diversity, emotions, and more! Girls also run during each session and improve their physical fitness, building a lifelong love for physical activity and wellness!
Our fall and spring 5k runs are the culminating event for our participating girls and also function as a fundraiser to assist in continuing the program.
The 2017 fall 5k will start at 9am at Henninger Field (parking at the Chambersburg American Legion). Day of registration and packet pick-up start at 7:30am.
The race is open to all genders, ages, and abilities!
